Flu Vaccine Update
The state requires that all students receive the flu vaccine by December 31, 2020, regardless of which learning plan they are participating in. If there is even a possibility that your fully remote student will be in school at any time for any reason before March 31, 2021, they need to have the seasonal flu vaccine. The influenza vaccine is always important to receive to reduce the risk of getting sick with influenza, reduce the severity of disease if one does get sick (including the risk of hospitalization) due to influenza, as well as prevent the spread of influenza to others. During the COVID-19 pandemic, influenza vaccine will be especially critical to reduce the overall impact of respiratory illness on the population, protect vulnerable populations from severe illness, and decrease the overall burden on the healthcare system. Please remember to get documentation that your student got the flu shot and submit proof of this to the school nurse. Should you need a medical or religious exemption form, please reach out to the school nurse.
Flu Clinic Reminder:
The Nashoba Assoc. BOH will be holding a Drive-Thru flu clinic- All Ages Invited

As a reminder, hand sanitizing along with social distancing and wearing masks, is a major part of the mitigation strategy
to help stop the spread of Covid-19. Students will be asked to sanitize or wash their hands frequently
throughout the day. Hand sanitizers will be placed in all classrooms and at key points in the building. If you do
NOT want your child to sanitize their hands at school using the provided FDA approved hand sanitizers, you
must write a note to the school nurse stating this and the nurse will contact you to discuss an alternative plan.
Allergies: Hay fever season is here and allergy symptoms are very similar to cold and flu symptoms. PLEASE
make sure your student is taking whatever daily allergy relief medication they generally use to control seasonal
allergy symptoms.
